STEAM Craft Edu awarded “Best CSR Programme for Education” at the GESS Education Awards
Helping to foster and nurture student interest in STEAM fields using game-based learning, STEAM Craft Edu was recognized in the 2020 GESS Education Awards in Dubai, taking the honors for the Best CSR Programme for Education.
The GESS Education Awards highlights and rewards the quality and diversity of education services and products, celebrating the success and recognition of educational excellence.
The Company’s CSR Program supports less fortunate public schools in Metro Manila via technology grants and teacher education across some 30 schools in the Philippines, providing the latest in game-based education technology to elementary children in grades 3-6 and their teachers.
Inspiring teachers with new skills and training in STEAM, game-based learning and project-based pedagogies, the company’s platform helped elevate the children’s focus and engagement, especially important for kids in poverty, and improve learning outcomes.
“We are thrilled to receive the GESS Education Award for our grants program in the Philippines, said CEO Robb Beeston. Our team and partners have worked very hard to create a product that provides access to STEAM education through our game-based learning platform to inspire less fortunate children and improve their educational outcomes. We feel honored to have won gold for our efforts and look forward to putting STEAM learning into the hands of more children around the globe.”
STEAM Craft Edu shares the award with program partners, Edric Calma and team at Knowledge Channel, and Dr. Jane Hunter and Dr. Carrol Graham at the University of Technology Sydney who conducted the outcomes research and reporting.
